Hi I have a beocord from the US with a US plug using it in the UK I have purchased a step down transformer it can handle a 100 W output. The Beocord works fine apart from a very loud hum..... earthy hum! This can be heard when the beocord is switched off through the amplifier. When disconnected from the mains the hum disappears. Despite pleading with the seller to package this 80s beogram well..... it arrived in a heap! The tone arm looks like it now needs viagara and the whole arm complex doesnt move. Im trying to get compensation but im not getting much response!! It came with an MMC4 but ive nothing to test it on. Ive looked inside and the tone arm is derailed easily put
