Hello Peter, I am unaware of Axel and what service he might off to my MMC3. Jeff

Modesty aside, I have achieved a very nice collection of B&O equipment with a great deal of help from the fine members of BeoWorld. Thank you for the most welcome compliment. The 8002 is legend, but so far I have seen little evidence to this claim to fame. I am floundering in my search of a really good MMC1 or MMC2 for my turntable, so anything

I have been trying very hard to find a suitable replacement for my MMC3 for my Beogram 8002. I found a solid example on eBay listed by a fellow BeoWorld member, which gave me a good deal of confidence that the MMC2 up for auction was a very decent cartridge. The MMC2 attracted a newbie who was DETERMINED to purchase this MMC2 and the ultimate sale went

I have been very interested in this exchange as my Beogram 8002 has been something of a disappointment, no doubt in part because of its MMC3 cartridge. I have given a great deal of thought as to a realistic comparison as to my six Beograms and the results are as follows: Beogram 4000/used MMC20CL/McIntosh 2255 Beogram 4004/NOS MMC20CL/McIntosh 2255

Hi David, I've heard very good things about Soundsmiths. Thank you for the tip. Sooner or later I am sure I will try them. Jeff

I would like to know what I can likely expect as to the sound quality difference between a Beogram 8000 and Beogram 8002. Currently my Beogram 8000 is running a MMC6000 and sound slightly superior to my Beogram 8002 with its MMC3 cartridge. Martin (Dillen) did a SUPERB job in rebuilding the BG 8000 motherboard and then was patient as Mother Teresa with

My Beogram 4000 has had (unfortunately) its output cable cut by the previous owner…. thus out with the DIN connections and in with the RCA plugs. As such there is now no ground wire connection to suppress the harmonic HUMMM this Beogram generates. True, while playing a LP record, this Beogram has NO peer. None the less, when checked against the

Hi Martin, Well the difference is absolutely amazing. Before I had a pair of speakers that sounded odd at best and the sound deteriorated with a volume increase. At “80” on the Beomaster 4500 the sound was so garbled that it was intolerable to listen to….. almost like damage was being done to the speakers. With the reset buttons depressed

Hi Martin, This may sound like a stupid question (I am known for these…) but are the two gray tabs next to the red LED supposed to be popped out, or recessed? I “assumed” that the grey posts were reset buttons for the over-load circuit, so I pressed them both in and they did not pop out. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try this
