  • Re: avant as center speaker/stand

The 'brains' of the new BV5, quite empty in fact, just a +/-20V power supply, 2 Avant amplifiers, a powerlink interface PCB and a sort of cable cabinet to close the opening on the backside of the BV5 frame.

Never posted pictures before, can you help me out because the icon 'insert/edit image' doesn't seem to work. I'm working on a mac, maybe this is the reason.

  • Re: avant as center speaker/stand

I forgot to say that also the motorstand is working with the BS3, the only thing you need is an extra cable which can be ordered as a spare part. The BS3 will autodetect the Avant motorstand which is in fact almost the same as the BV5 one. There's one catch and that's the frame which is connecting the Panasonic screen to the BV5 housing, it

  • Re: avant as center speaker/stand

I have some good news for you! I had exactly the same thoughts and came up with the following setup: BS3, some BV5 spare parts and a broken Avant as a starting point for the center speaker and motorised stand (bought for 100 euro in Nederland, thank you). I had some things to do making the center speaker work with the BS3 but now I have a fully operating

  • Re: Beo5 a success?

I had one... and I already sold it. It looks nice, has a lot of potential but I don't like the way you have to work with it. I spended a lot of time programming it the way I wanted it for daily use, but I always took the Beo4. If B&O should incorporate some programming/macro functions into the Beo4, this should be the perfect remote. Even my

  • Re: LC2 alternative and more... finally

Good to now the service is on the same level as I had with Lintronic. According to a previous topic, there were some problems with the B&O light manager but hopefully they will be solved in the V2 version. I'm looking forward to it.

  • LC2 alternative and more... finally

Yesterday I sended a mail to JBMedia asking if they can't forsee an original B&O receiver on their solution and today I got this answer: Hi Stefan, there are good news. Currently we are in the final stage of the Light-Manager V2 development. This will be available with an original B&O IR receiver module optionally, which is Plasma-safe.

  • Re: BEO4 upgrade question

@Andy: Tried it but without succes @Keith: I thought the same but now I've changed it 2 times, so in fact hard to imagine that B&O makes a mistake like this. Back to the dealer tomorrow. Regarding the BEO5, well, I just don't like to way you have to operate it. I really loved the way you can set it up, the icons, the macro's and some
