• Re: BM4000 - waiting to travel the world...

At first I was given some new paperwork - Have to live with a copy Then the first diagnosis regarding the chest: Outch - that doesn't look too good . Surgery will be longer then... While already open I got new bulbs - that was the easy part.

Oh Boy - don't meet a doctor if it doesn't really hurt So OK I came to the doctor's office and he looked at me. Those screws are definitely not original. And both mounting brackets & screws missing as well. Furthermore: Those are also not original and what's worse: they have the wrong thread: Those are sheet metal screws and a M4

OK, had a good sleep last night; If it weren't for that deep pain to the left of my chest - I guess I have to meet the doctor... He's fully booked for today but promised to give me an saturday appointment if it hasn't gone by then. Yes I'm a national health patient and not insured privately So I have to wait - -sigh-

  • BM4000 - waiting to travel the world...

Hello Beoworlders, May I introduce myself: I am a Beomaster4000. I was born in the town of Struer in Denmark in the mid of the 70es. I don't know my real date of birth nor can I remember much of my childhood. Must have spend a long time in Denmark. Then all of a sudden I was "thrown out" of my home and got almost scraped. Someone took
I already dug out my Swiss Army bag!
So guess what arrived today... A bit of mechanical challenge to be seen already.... I was told it has some cut wires inside - so much for my part of the fun The meter part I'll try to fix already. Haven't had it opened yet. Missing edge-parts and palisander finish will

  • Re: BeoGram 4000 Restoration

Menahem, I had a deep look into the SM of the BG4000 today. I never have seen one in real life, though. First, it should be totally ok to use a DVM to measure motor voltage - Why would MOhms parallel to a low-ohm DC coil cause a wrong measure? As the circuit is a servo bridge and the servo runs ok while playing (if I'm right?) in the slow forward

Here you are Gunther, sorry it took so long, I was distracted by dinner!
No problem, just remember: Eating & Drinking is half of your nutrition Looked at the crossover: Result is: Woofer & Mid are exactly like in the on-site service manual. On the tweeter there is one cap less but the tweeter's level

Ev, now you got me hooked on that... I had a closer look at your crossover picture before modifying. And I had another look at the Beovox service manual available on-site (look after Beovox4 manual). Page 1-15 looks like the crossover of the RL60.2. That board has 5 caps, 3 coils (+ one external) and 2 resistors. Yours seem to have 4 caps, 4 resistors
