Pour les 8000, je pensais les transporter dans le coffre, avec du papier bulles... Mais en les laissant entières : à mon avis le pied carré les empêche de rouler!

Ok, I've done a little tour of the Config Tool... Now I can reply to myself : The Config Tool has a new BeoSound5 xml file where we can see that there are a lot of non-IR functions... BUT the http (or other protocol) commands are hidden in the Beo6 firmware : the XML only tells to launchpre-defined functions embedded in the Beo6. That means that

Now that the wifi is activated on the Beo6, I'm wondering if it can be easy to control non-B&O equipment that works with http commands on wifi (Sonos for instance, Freebox in France...), either by doing a fake-Beosound5 file, or directly supported by the Config Tool (I've not already installed the CT5.12)... Does anybody have any clue on

Hi Edouard, first... BUY A CARPET!!!!! The BL9 will sound better if you furnish a little bit your room... And the BL5 will not sound as good as it can sound in your empty livingroom...
Anyway, the point is...you can. Stream audio from your iPhone to the Beolit, on the move.
A "standard person" with standard computer skills will NEVER think of such a solution : walking with your Beo-Ghettoblaster, connected to a wireless 3G hub+router on your bag, with an iDevice streaming the music
So if I just happen to be carrying one of these in my pocket would I be able to use it as a hub to join the two devices ?
It can work... But only if this device acts as a wireless router, which I'm quite sure it don't. If you own this device, try to connect 2 computers to it and transfer a file via wifi
BS5E definitely does play 96kHz 24bit FLAC (no sound with 192kHz) for sure the MOTS calculation takes longer. Often if a 24bit file is choosen as start for MOTS, it keeps on playing 24bits files
So... If you are correct, it could be ok for me (as I hear the difference between 16 and 24bit, but for me, 96kHz
presumably one can direct one's iOS music app to use airplay to send its music wirelessly to the BeoLit 12 ... so I think Moxxey's vision is feasible
No, Airplay is not working in "point to point" network. You can not just "send music wirelessly". You have to have a personnaly-managed

Hmm. Ok, so you just convinced me NOT to buy an Encore... Sorry B&O, my money was ready, just waiting for the BeoNet>ML adapter, but : 1. No gapless playback (in a "audiophile" product) 2. No support of HD files (in a "audiophile" product) Just makes me think that B&O is NOT going the right way. What's next? A player
