I know im repeating myself.. but honestly, I was very disappointed with the mint beogram 7000 i bought which had an original MMC2. It now sounds incredible with a new stylus. I'd suggest the issue is probably the stylus. if you were closer I'd loan you one! David Coyne

Hi Ive just bought a SMMC1 from Sound Smith for my beogram 7000. I had an original mmc2 which appears to be in good condition. The difference in sound quality is incredible. With the SMMC1 my vinyl sounds so clear and CD like (only more detailed and warmer). The MMC2 sounds muddy and dull. I'd go for a new sounds smith stylus if you can. David Coyne

I've just purchased a Sound Smith SMMC 1 stylus and the difference in sound quality is incredible. Even worn vinyl is now of almost CD quality and good condition vinyl sounds far superior!!!

Hi All I have a lovely beolit 800 (from the early 60's). I've had it for about 2 years. It has a lovely sound. it is used most weekends while reading the paper in bed! The last few days it has sounded just slightly 'off station'- not so noticeable until speaking is heard and the dreaded 's' sound. I'm unsure if it is just
