Either it is an error in the specifications, or either the LCD screen manufacturing process has improved in the last few months. Regards, Jean

In my case, I have a Pace DC 551 set top box and its HDMI communication is sometimes picky (a known problem with this box, unrelated to B&O). In order to avoid problems, I set its powering on and off to "manual" (none in the menu) to allow more control if the communication between the TV and the box fails. Regards, Jean

Dear Todd, There are options in the setup menu to control the shut-off of the DVR. Among them are "never", "follow TV", "shut off in 30 min", and "shut off in 0 min". Good luck! Jean

The North American version has an ATSC/QAM tuner that works with either terrestrial or unscrambled cable digital broadcasts. I have verified it with my own set. HD broadcasts are of course properly received. I am curious: Is there a common standard for digital TV broadcasting in Europe or the technical specs change from country to country? Regards,

Congratulations for your new TV! We are now two in the forum to have it! I have mine since about 1 month now (North American version) . The picture quality is outstanding. I have also checked in the service menu and the North American version has exactly the same screen than yours except that it is running at 60Hz. Regards, Jean

Could you take a picture of the screen and post it here? It is somewhat intriguing. Regards, Jean

I have already mine since two weeks, but I am located in Canada. Be assured, you won't be disappointed! Regards, Jean

Yes, the built-in DVD player can play Xvid as well as Divx movies. It can also play .mpg (MPEG-1 and 2) as well as most .avi files. Jean

Why the reviewer didn't test the new version of the Beovision 7? It will be available shortly in Europe! Jean

A very interesting review, since I now own the TV! I can confirm that everything here is true. Jean
