Another option which i use is the Lintronic box. With this you can control almost any IR operated devise. I control with my Beo4 my Pioneer plasma, Sony set-top box, curtains air conditioners, Sony Playstation and my lights.

I am using a Playstation 3 with mine. I have my beo4 controlling it in a limited fashion as the ir control on the playstation is not very elaborate. Very happy with the sound and picture, just use the HDMI of course and watch in uncompressed format where possible.

I am using a Beosystem3 with my Pioneer plasma, works fantastic but i'm sure it would work equally aswell with any quality plasma. The difference with the Panasonic being that you are able to directly drive the panel with the Beo4 through the Beosyetem3. I am using a LIntronic setup to get the control from my Beo4 whilst also giving me far greater

Yes, thanks Peter. It is a shame that preference settings can not be selected for any movie played. Just have to remember, should be easy enough as a good movie can still be crap with poor sound.

Hey Pater, Funny you should mention it, that is exactly the way I watched it I have even got (basic) control of the Playstation with my Beo4 through Lintronic and a OEM IR adaptor. Must get Black Hawk Down now I guess.

Yes the BL5's not only sound fantastic but FEEL great also. Recently watched 007's Casino Royal and the scene with the building collapse was absolutely amazing, it could be FELT through the whole house. Awesome!

Thank you all, that's the response I was expecting. Most of the DVD's available in OZ have both DD & DTS on them. Now for a more advanced question. (and answer ) My setup is BC2 into Beosystem3 via scart and SPDIF (BL5,BL7.2 & BL3) so I should have all the right equipment. When I am playing movies I often hit the menu & navigate

Just after some feedback on which format is better, DTS or Dolby Digital? I know there will be some expert and interesting opinions out there.
