The tuning string on my Bm 6000 Quad snapped. I opened the Bm but am unable to find how the string goes......it must the most complicated string system I have ever seen! I've been battling for over an hour with no luck. Seriously, was it necessary to make it so complicated!! Driving me insane....so is anyone able to tell me how the string goes back

Definitely worth repairing. I had mine refoamed, didn't feel I was up to the job of doing it myself. Replaced the capacitors on the crossovers as well. Like new again!

Unfortuantely, apart from manufacturing a replacement yourself, I don't think you'll have much luck. No after market parts anywhere I'm afraid. Its a bit of a problem, perhaps someone else will have an idea but as far as I know there's not much one can do!

I'm still traumatised!! Always wanted one of those Beocenters!!

Never seen such an abused B&O in my life. Who spends money on a B&O and lets it end up like that. Shoot him/her!! http://cgi.ebay.com/Bang-Olufsen-Beocenter-9000-/360333146202?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e587785a

Another BS8 purchased! Good News. Enjoy!!

@Blackrix, I think you are right. I will see what the insurance pays out, I will claim for the whole Beosystem as with out the matching Beomaster, its useless. I doubt B&O South Africa will be interested in repairing it, I can try. I really liked the 6500. At least now I know that it isn't just a minor problem. Thanks for everyones advice!

Enjoy!! Wish there had been one under my tree :)
