I believe there is multiple version of the Apple Remote in the STB. The one that I have does support fast scrolling but doesn't support the "long" push on the play button which is used on the ATV for stand by or genius or something. Basic up down left right fast up and down plus play and menu works though. I am not sure if there is an

I am kind of attracted to it, I might replace my Apple TV with it since it can do so much more and can be controlled from my BV8 and Beo 4.

I think what is important that if you want to get a wireless one you need one that has a USB adapter. The ATV doesn't have bluetooth so Apple wirless ones would not work, maybe if you find a Bluetooth USB plug that emulates a USB wired keyboard. http://forum.atvflash.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2725

I have one and love it. The trouble is that without a Beovision that has the digital surround built in it is a bit tricky to get surround with Beolabs if you want that. What speakers do you want to use? I swear I am trying to switch to digital music with apple itouch remote and apple TV and just keep returning to putting the discs into the BC2 since

Interesting, I guess how one stores the data plays a role. I don't have the BS5 yet but would cold see that if you use the disc number field it keeps all songs from sets in the same "folder". I do know that the the tags that looked up automatically are often all over the place when it comes to sets and even titles can and should be slightly

I'd say it is behaving just like a CD player. I mean how likely is it that in an alphabetical list the next album or song is the one I want to hear?

>> Without liberal software fudging, barely any of the common lossy codecs support gapless playback<< I know that is is caused by the codec, I remember researching this when I switched from Sony Minidisc and Atrac to MP3/AAC and Ipod. Thing is, most players support that these days somehow so I wouldn't cause it a liberal software change

I rate this a 4. It doesn't bring me closer to buying one. I like that they picked up on the christmas music issue and that would have bugged me but not as much as the missing gapless does. I just appreciate that they listen to customers complaining even though they don't pick up on my main issue. As long as that is not addressed I won't

Frankly i could live without apple lossless. I want gapless though, that drove me nuts with the early ipods. And I want it with files that my mac can handle, installing windows is not a solution.
