  • Re: Now when the war is over ...

"Sorry - you've missed my point - we weren't talking about SD compared to HD. We were arguing about HD TV broadcasts compared to Blu Ray " You are right, sorry, I really missed Your point. My apology :( ;)

No, there is a big difference. IMHO, it's a wrong comparisation. The CD and the DVD had a lot, and unquestionable advantage against to the LP/MC and the VHS. The only problem was the price of them at the beginning. The HD formats has nothing against to the DVD except the better quality. And that's not a value today. So, this battle a lot more

"Why don't you get a film on Blu-Ray and compare it with its equivalent on TV, sort your 24fps issue out... compare like with like and then come back to me?" Last time I did it with a top Panasonic 65", with a top BR player, and with a demo BR disc. The left side of the picture was the DVD version, the right side was the BR. In some

"... and Blue Ray is the winner" Are You sure? I agree in one term - It seems to me also, that the war is over. But I think: all HD disc formats are lost against to the DVD, and mostly: Against to DivX, and ... (HD) downloading. Take a look to the figures. For example, You can see in the audio business, that the only audio source you can purchase

  • Re: Ooops! Guess who really designs for Apple?

"I actually see the calculators as closer than the radio/iPod!" I think, the radio just looks like the "small brother" of the iPod - they are all the same. Replace the speaker cover with a same size screen, and You can get the iPod. I think, the iPod is a simple copy of this radio... About the rest, I think, it can be say, that all

soundproof: Look at the buttons on the keypad of the calculator -- the iPhone simulates buttons, and it's obvious that the inspiration is the buttons from the Braun calculator. Same shape, colour scheme, and annotation, with some slight adjustments to accommodate for today's keypads. (Click the picture to enlarge it.) I think, You wish to see

I think, the iPod is really the same design, but I beg Your pardon - the rest is absolutely not, IMHO. Just for example, I can't even find any "it's the same" feeling about the calculators, for example, because they are totally different - IMHO again ;)

  • Re: value for money

"That puts its MSRP around $215,000. The price is roughly $100,000 more than the 760Li sedan from parent company BMW. The price tag will position the new car squarely against the Bentley Arnage." I think, it's not the same strategy, it's just the same as the MX3500 versus MX5500. BMW try to fill the gaps in the palette, and made a
