We bought our first house in 1982 for £11500 (a terrraced doer-upper), a year later I bought my MX2000 for approx. £540. This was very reasonable compared to the competition at about £350. That house too is now worth ~£180,000. If TV's prices increased at the same rate as houses why aren't run of the mill 20inch Sony

Being an old duffer like Jeff, I can't think of an application (in my life) where this is the only or the best or even the best looking option. Nor am I keen on the supposed youth friendly "forward base" presentation - in years gone by they were called boom boxes! - although I am prepared to change my mind when I hear it. But then again
