  • Pioneer Plasma Control via Beo5 - Experiences?

Hi All, I'm considering a Beo5 purchase and would like to use it to control my Pioneer plasma screen (PDP-C509A), amongst other items around the house. I'm interested to hear if anyone has gone down this particular path and if so, what issues (if any) you may have come across? I'm specifically concerned with IR interference from the screen

  • Re: BeoSound 3200, IR disable

Once you get used to using the door locking command it's quite easy to maintain the doors in the locked position until you require them opened for CD loading. I use it consistently with my BS3200 to avoid any feline related entanglements. Cheers, Matt

  • Re: Discount negotiation on new B&O equipment in Australia

Yes, that's true Dave - I was charged the same. But I guess it depends on the size of the purchase and your personal financial circumstances as to whether it's worthwhile. For me it worked out to be a very cost effective approach. But you're right though, it's certainly not 'free'.

It's my understanding that, provided you already have a DJ's store card, you have the option to purchase B&O products through DJ's on terms of up to 2 years interest free at any time. Extended periods are sometimes available depending on the promotion - but as always, you'll need to check the fine print.

As a relative new comer to B&O from a purchase perspective (but long time fan of the products) I would echo Elephant's commments on the Melbourne stores' relationship with us, the customer. Apart from the MSO recital at the Armadale store, I was fortunate enough to attend a Schubert evening at the recently opened recital hall in Southbank

  • Re: Another aussie!

Thank you for the words of welcome - much appreciated. Have not paid the Collins St store a visit in a while. I'd be interested to know the scale of the rennovation. Any significant changes making it worth a visit?

Hi All, Yep....another Aussie with their first post. You have all inspired me to finally sign up after several months of lurking on the site - which I might add is simply fantastic. I've a BS3200 with a couple of BL6000's as well as a BeoCom 6000 all of which I never grow tired of using or simply enjoying the aesthetics of. What people on this
