Hi all, I'm hoping some one out there can give me some assitance regarding my 4500 and Penta 1 setup. Here's what's going on: one of my Pentas will kickout (the light goes orange) after approximaetly 30-min of playing time when I'm using the 4500 Beogram CD player. The speaker works fine when I'm using an iPOD through the AUX inputs

I'm trying to set up an AV 7000 I purchased a few years back. However, my beolink 1000 is different than the one pictured in the users guide and does not seem totally compatible with the AV 7000. Is there a way to link the two or do I need another, more suitable remote? Oh yeah, please do not tell me I purchased a faulty processor. Thanks inadvance

Here's the bad news. I purchased it off ebay with intent of connecting to my AV7000. When I first got it, I just plugged it in to see if it lit up. It did. Now it doesn't. I checked the connection to the BM 4500 with my othe MCL 2p and the connection worked for that one. So I don't think I had it connected wrong. I took it apart and did

Hi All, I need some troubleshooting info for a defunkt MCL 2p. No lights, I checked the fuses - they're good. I hooked it up to my Bm 4500 and as soon as I hit an input (FM radio) the BM would go straight back to stand by mode. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Steve and thanks CoolDude. Now I am confused but I'm used o it by now. I have soem Mk.2 cables hooked up to a pair of pentas so I'll try those and see what happens. Thanks again

Hi all, I have an AV 7000 that I want to hook up to an MCL2P passive amp to a pair of RL6000's. Any idea which powerlink cable will work between the AV 7000 and the amp? Also, the AV 7000 requires a powered sub, correct? Thanks in advance for all of your help. This forum is awesome!

Thanks Chris. I will try and contact Martin.

Hi All, I've seen numerous threads pertaining to the Penta and cap jobs. My pair of old series I's are in need, I think. One went out completely with the orange light and the smell of burning electrolyte. The other pops intermittantly but last I checked still functioned. I'm looking for a cap kit for the amps. Are they available? I'm

Hi All, I'm having difficulties with one of my series 1 Penta's. I'm getting an intermittant popping noise during playback. I know, not a lot of info, but I figured I'd ask the B&O brain trust before I start taking it apart. Thanks for any help you can provide. Puck

Thanks you guys. I've narrowed it down to the display board with the large cap. It looks like some black/green goo oozed out of the bottom of the cap. It seems I need a cap job (and possibly some resistors) or maybe I'll take the easy way out and relieve Ridax of one of his. Again, thank you all for your help.
