Hi Graham, Thanks for the reply an my apologies for not getting back sooner........WORK !!! The small flat ring magnet you mentioned, did it just sit on top of the CD (I take it that if this was the case, you'd have to remove it and replace it every time you changed the CD). Just an idea (maybe not too original), but, what about getting hold of

Hi Guys, Once again I throw myself at your knowledgeable feet. I put a CD into the drive today and it didn't want to read it. It sounded as though the disk was "slipping" on spin up. I tried to take the disk out, but horror of horrors (to me anyway) the black piece in the middle and the spring it holds in place (to grip the CD) came out

It seems that everyone who's into B&O are all great people, helpful and generous. I found some double sided foam tape

[quote user="Kokomo"] "I have been re-sticking these for years using industrial grade contact adhesive and have never had a complaint or a failure. Others insist on using double sided tape." I've seen mention of the use of double-sided tape before, but surely this tape is non conductive and therefore cannot conduct from the finger

Hi Tournedos, Yes I've just tried as you suggested shorting C and E of that transistor and the function responded . I removed the board but there's nothing obvious to me. Luckily graham has offered a replacement board so hopefully I should be sorted Thanks Richard

I've just tried touching the rubber prong under the glass panel and it does nothing. Touching the other prongs achieves their function, so I guess it's a fault on that board ? As you sugested I put a preset into 9 and back it came, thanks !! Cheers for replys Carpy
