  • Re: Beomaster 900K

Hello again. I am only just now getting round to doing this job. I have looked at a number of other car speakers such as JVC and Pioneer but the sizes vary. Because I know that you have used these successfully in your Beomaster I am inclined to go for the Visaton speakers which can be sourced in UK for £32.50 per pair. Can you confirm whether

  • SP7 stylus removal

Further to my last posting I also have an older Beogram 1000 with an SP7 cartridge (I think as it's unmarked but has the raised bezel). The stylus needs replacing on this too but the stylus casing sleeve seems to be stick fast - probably corroded onto the cartridge. Does anyone have any tips for easing this off without destroying it?

  • Replacement SP14 stylus

My Beogram 1000 seems to be a late one (type 5229)and is a bit of a crossover. The date of the booklet is 1971 and specifies that it is a Beogram 1000 with an SP14 stylus but the booklet illustrations show a Beogram 1001 (2 speed version). Mine is definately the old 3 spped version with the old badge and chrome speed selector. I need a replacement stylus

Hello again I am having difficulty in locating these speakers in the UK - even on ebay. On the German ebay I can locate many Visaton speakers but cant see your one. In the UK car shops most speakers are rated at 120W+. Your lower power 4ohm option seems better. Could you possibly send me a link to an advertiser (in Germany) that I could source from

  • Re: Beovox 2702 Issues

Thanks, done it successfully and as suspected the foam surrounds are shot. I dont see an obvious place on the Recone Labs (Richard Allan) website to purchase a replacement kit. Is there an alternative source - there are ads on ebal but I dont know how reliable.

I'm in a similar position. I want to check the condition of the drivers but the grilles seem stuck fast with very little gap to prize them off without damaging the aluminium trim. Any tips for removing them? I also dont want to break the fibreboard or whatever the backing is made of at the weak points.
