Hello Stephen, my new one does not have HDMI, but maybe it will come? Gerald

Hello Carsten, I had the exact same issue you describe last year. It took a while for the dealer to find out what the problem was, but in the end it was a failure of the motherboard. Apparently the initial motherboard had these problems and was replaced by a new design just before the XMas production in 2009. You might still have the old motherboard

Hello Mikael, from what I have heard they have had problems with the motherboards of the Beomaster 5. My broke 4 weeks ago and they could not repair it yet, because they don't have the (new) motherboards. I was told that it will be week 51 at the earliest. Gerald

I can just tell you that my BS5/BM Set up - bought in May - had problems for a while and 10 days ago it died (blue screen and then it was dead). I was told that the motherboard was defect and will be replaced. Gerald

Hello, my model is from May and I just got confirmation that the motherboard is defect. They told me that they will replace the motherboard and then I really hope that the issues are solved. But I agree: the dealer is very good, but B&O itself is difficult. Gerald

Dear all, I have had losts of problems with my BS5/BM system (titles disappearing, connection to PC disconnected, etc.) and it was in service 2 times for a total of 7 (!) weeks. The response was always that the system is OK, just that some CDs need to be transfereed with Media Player vs. Boeplayer. And actually, last time the system worked correctly
-
Hello Roger and all, no, could not sort it out yet. I have tried everything - also with instructions from my dealer and phone support by B&O. I even recovered (=reset) the system and problems were not solved. Even more, there is complete chaos on the BeoSound5 like one cover showing up 3 or 4 times, with only some titles available for each cover
-
Thanks for those hints, but this does not solve the problem. All the files and folders are in the right place on the Windows Desktop that I have accesed via the BeoSound 5. And there are not ghost files, they are all there with all their bits and bytes. Any more ideas? Gerald
-
The new files are in the "Music" folder - just like the CDs I transferred a few weeks ago - no differences to be detected.
-
I did reboot (more than once), which did not change the issue and I also tried it from another computer (with XP). And I cannot see recently copied CDs on the BeoSound 5 - I can only see it on the network drive.
