Oh yes! The multimeter test showed 0.044V for the left channel and 0.054V for the right channel playing a 1kHz sine wave MP3 with volume at 1, balance at 0 and loudness on. I used an old 2-3m speaker cable to meter though, but of course that shouldn't have any effect when I just move the connector between the channels. I've got to set the balance

Many thanks for your replies Hmm, I tried going through the switches a bit, but I couldn't really notice anything this time - also moving to the second speaker outputs sounded pretty identical to me (first time by the way) But yes, swapping the left and right channels does make a difference - it sounds more balanced and better having them reversed

Christmas greetings, Yesterday I was turning up the volume a bit on the BM4400 when something happened: the balance seemd to get more on the right speaker and bass response kind of smoother on the lower end (sounds pretty nice though). I had to set the balance slider to -2 to make it sound quite balanced again - has anyone experience such a thing before

Wishing you peaceful Christmas time and all the best for the New Year, Jouni

Hello I was just wondering could anyone recommend me where to obtain good speaker cables for my Beovox M70's? I see that there's a couple merchants selling these cables on eBay, but might there be even more alternatives preferrably here in European Union? Unfortunately I've had a bit bad luck with AV Solutions (cracked connector covers on

Interesting replies, thank you for them! Wonder might that yellowish cover I've got be the orginal one. I see that a little restoration project would certainly be a good idea to this Beomaster - avoiding any problems suddenly appearing caused by the caps or trimmers for example. The "thump" might also get reduced a bit, somehow it feels

That's 5mm pretty exactly - you got it right 1cm might do even better as ablaumeise confirmed, I just thought to start off slowly since you can always cut out the previous glueing for an another 5mm or so - not really the other way round Anyway, the volume control is nicely responsive now through 0 to 30 at least - I haven't really dared to

Hello Martin, I'm not very sure about it either, but it looks like they've been sweating or something. Taking a closer look on http://www.verkkojohto.net/webu/bm4400/Kuva%20056.jpg actually makes me think about very small leaks/cracks in the plastic as well! Not very good probably (so it's coming from inside the capacitors), don't know

After working with the Beomaster 6000, I really got into taking a closer look on my Beomaster 4400 as well. I've been using it pretty much daily for around 2-3 months and it hasn't let me down so far in terms of very great and enjoyable output. Anyway, after visually inspecting the components, especially a couple capacitors, I became sligthly

Hey, it works! As soon as I woke up I forced that belt back in and tried again - wehee, it moves! So it wasn't a very silly idea to do some glueing at all! Actually I removed just a tiny bit of the rubber belt for a start, but it still seems to be enough - the belt definitely felt harder to get back in place than before as well. Here's a couple
