Off topic - but got to vent to cheer myself up...

Been outside in sub zero weather (and rain) for two days trying to sort the clutch out for the second time in a year :( Basically the thrust bearing is shot a long story but had to share this I think it is a bit freaky lol...

now bear in mind the milage is as I attempted to set off out Tuesday night when the clutch pedal hit the floor with a thump and i never got off the drive...

Would you believe it! Not at all suspicious but even I can see the funny side!

Feeling utterly miserable and still haven't finished :(  And people think B&O stuff can be difficult - if any Beoworlders have ever had a MkVI Escort gearbox out and can relate to 'that' bracket let me hear your pain [:'(]

It is off topic - I'll soon move this to the Lifestyle subforum which can take it...

I feel for you Olly - I had the pedal of my Volvo drop down to the floor just last autumn, only I was already at the traffic lights. What a feeling. The engine of course stalled as I needed to brake. I managed to wiggle 1st gear in so I could drive it out of the way with the starter - the engine started as well and I could nicely veer off to a parking lot.

It wasn't even the first time, so I knew I had to walk back to the crossing to collect the mounting parts that fall on the street when this happens, and don't come with the new clutch cable. Not counting the trip to the parts store and back, the whole operation took me half an hour and 10 euros. I can see how yours won't be quite that easy Sad Persevere and you shall win!

I had never noticed that part of Beoworld thanks Mika :) Yes Perseverence is a quality I have so I will not give up until at least I can drive the thing to a garage :)
