Giving that somebody posted the BC6 23 is discontinued the discount doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is that there is nothing going on yet with the BV4 since the new model is around the corner.

Well...I went for the 6-23 with a motorized floorstand. Got it all for approximatly 4500$ and actually think that is pretty nice....

Anyone needs a cheap 6 month old MX 4200 with linkmodule :-)

I went to my dealer today to hear about the discount campaign

Prises are:

Beovision 7-40 + Beovision 6-23 -14000kr ~ €1850

Beovision 7-32 + Beovision 6-23 -12000kr ~ €1600

Beovision 6-23 -4000kr ~ €525

Beovision 7-40 €0 (no campaign)

Beovision 7-32 €0 (no campaign)

The problem is the B2 syndicate arrangement. The dealers have an arrangement with the manufacturer of a maximum discount level. i.e. they cannot compete with each other...

I don't think that this will be in any way not compliant with european law.If a manufactur wants to run a promotion for an atractive price for a certian product, the easiest way is just to reduce the margin. The dealer will (at least in most cases) not give away the product for free and stick to the promo price. So I doubt (and having B&O "normal" behavior in mind) that the dealer will get the full margin and the customer the 12+15%. But if yes, great deal!!!!

This campain can't really be that attractive. We are discussing approximately 12% to list price.

I have never bought B&O with less than 15% discount. All resellers are prepared to go to 15%. I actually believe that they have a price alliance with B&O on this discountlevel.

(Even though I believe it's against European competition law to create such alliances)

No... My dealer told me that there was going to be a discount on BV7 and a combo BC 6 and BV7 discount. That is all i know so far.

AND Yes it is the MKIII version of BV7.....

Does the website imply you have to buy he BV7, BC6 and Beo5 as a package to get the 'discount'?
