No, the analogue tuner is still in there. DVB-T is just included as 'standard' in the UK (the BV7-40 already includes it as standard, since the launch). DVB-T is assigned to DTV, analogue to TV.

I have my external Sky HD box assigned to V.MEM.

...if is is a module only, it means that using a non-B&O ST-BOX-tuner with HDR (for example Topfield 5100), one has to control it by V.AUX (not DTV as now). Not nice, perhaps, course now you can record programs straight from "DTV".

no it is the expensive material they use to wrapped -up possibly a samsung free view

After the lengthy debate about the BeoVision 7 costing up to seven times more than it's rivals, and how B&O need to install freeview to UK supplied versions at least - Bang & Olufsen have come up with their own innovative solution.
Freeview will be 'compulsory' in all BeoVision 7's as of March 1st 2008.
'Hooray' i hear you say. Well, maybe not quite. Yes, it will be compulsory - and you will be charged £400 for it, taking the already slightly high average retail price from £6,550 to £6,950.

in that case i will say ta ta simply for the price (welcome to rip off Britain )

Gulp. Yes, my BV7-40 MKIII shipped with the Freeview module as default and, yes, this is now factored in to the price of the TV in the UK. Isn't it funny how we have to pay extra for simply watching TV :)
