AST does mean that, I have just had my 7-40 upgraded with the latest software by the Derby dealer. There is a new graphic layout that sits on the left hand side and is black background with white lettering, same style as Beosound5.

There was also a cool addition of AST in the menu, at the moment this is greyed out but from about june time should be fully active! This is will be getting as my room has never been the best for a cinema.

I would recommend speaking to Andy there as he has also got my TVIX and MINI MAC working through my 7-40 with the addition of my ITOUCH for the link rooms and its even better than before.

He only said that the TV design is made to believe that the TV is embedded in the wall (B&O made CRT TVs which looked like flat TVs, now they seem to want to go further...)

Concerning the new sub, he just said that it looks like a tulip with a small hole in the middle and can be hanged on the wall... B&O didn't say anything about the technology, just that it's totally revolutionnary as they completely eliminated vibrations.

Did he give you more details about this tv and subwoofer.

Did also say something the new beocom 5.

He just said he has seen it, with the new subwoofer... I corrected him, saying that it was surely 40", but he insisted... Maybe he seen it bigger than it is in real life... A kind of optical illusion

I haven't heard a single thing about 50." I wouldn't say 100% for certain, but all internal discussions have been of a 40" LCD. The 50" size would make it a plasma (based on our suppliers) and it is most assuredly not a plasma television. This would mean a 52" or 55" which would make very little sense based on its goal for the portfolio.

Perhaps your dealer was engaged in a bit of good natured speculation.

According to my dealer, the BV10 will be 50" and not 40", with a design close of the BV5 but ultra slim.

I just noticed there was no mention of BeoVision 6-32 in beoberlin's list. A bit surprising, as it was on every other "speculation" list. I do hope they bring it out anyway ( it would be the perfect replacement for our BeoVision 3-32 ).

I thought AST stands for "Adaptive Sound Technology", the new enhanced soundchip on the Beosystem 3 which uses a microphone to calibrate the sound to your room.

I bought an iPod/iPhone dock from Apple, too. However, not very happy with it.... Very often the iPhone displays "this is not designed for the iPhone please....". Also the remote control of the iPod function of the iPhone is not fantastic. Furthermore, no adapter for my old iPod.

Kawo, try to carefully clean the dockconnector on the iPhone and in the dock. That annoying error message is often caused by bad contact.
