ah I thought as much, has anyone been able to do this without taking the basestation to the dealer, I mean is the "Service Tool" nothing more than a serial cable attached to the computer and the firmware being upgraded ???

Can't be that difficult I would have thought, does someone have the firmware that I can d/load from a website.

There is no upgrade kit for the base station.

The Beocom 6000 base is updated using a service tool connected to a PC which downloads the new software.

Does anybody know if the 2.5 upgrade to the 6000 Basestation is a software ( firmware ) upgrade, or are some replacement parts involved ?

I want to upgrade my basestation at the same time as upgrading the two MK I handsets.

The 6000 Handset upgrade kit part number is 3455103 which consists of a new board and display, and I am about to order two of these from my local dealer, and an Earset 1 Home headset, but not sure about the basestation part number ( maybe there is not an upgrade kit part number for the basestation ).
