8-40 yes WITH surround and launched in March....also 100hz and some other neat features such as built in HD reciever!

I think it will happen when B&O updates the current BV8 platform.

Look at the history

BeoCenter/BeoVision 1, MX7000 at first no surround; later the BC/BV1 were adapted so surround was possible (after pressure from consumers!!), as with the transition from MX7000 to MX8000.

So... current platform.. don't count on it. Not even an upgrade.

Future? I think there will be a chance to add it as an option when the BV8 platform gets updated...

If B&O wants to sell additional speakers (and generatie extra profit/extra margin)... then I hope there're already buzzy designing the MKII version :-)

No that won't happen I am afraid. If there ever will be a MK2 version in future, maybe they add that option. But the current one, No.
