Yeah, it's was the ugly plastic remote I was thinking about.

A lovely LX boosted with a matching CX50 in a very nice setup. Not trown out in the flat TV hysteria! And all ruined by the remote. Holding the BeoLink 1000 is half of the feeling watching a BeoVision.

But actually right now I'm throwing rocks in a glass house. This is the way I have at home myself.

That's why I'm going to get a Lintronic box. Crazy I know, the Lintronic costs more then the value of the TV, but it will be worth every pennie (or Danish öre).

It is the standard remote of a Samsung DVB cable tuner 9401,

the picture is set to "letterbox", i think.

Yes and no. While not a BL1000 it looks like a 3rd party replacement. They come up on Ebay every now and then.
