I really don't like the Beolab 3 and Beolab 5 design that much.

...from what I can see at a very quick glance through the posts so far it seems BL9 and BL8000 have a higher frequency in the top 3 than any other speaker, so that's quite interesting I think.

What a great thread with some very suprising answers! Well I am of the BeoLab 5000 camp too because I love art/design/creativity and for me these speakers fit beautifully within that profile. The BeoLab 8000s too would definitly be high up but according to the speakers listed in this thread, here are my choices:

1. BeoLab 9

2. Beoalab 4000

3. BeoLab 8000

4. BeoLab 5

5. BeoLab 2

6. BeoLab 3

Dave, I agree with you on the Beolab 1. It was a very beautiful speaker, that was prematurely "terminated". A shame really. Would have stayed as a great option to a home theater front speakers design-wise with beolab 8000 or 6000 as rears.

I like all beolabs in the current range equally - except BL3 which i actually very much dislike

However if it's speakers out of the range then i will readily say BL1 is my absolute top favourite design. I love it. I'd buy a pair even if they didn't work

Nothing beats the Beolab 3000 ~ 5000. They are simply the best looking in the B&O range of speakers.....do not forget that they are always regarded as work of art, that is why they have to be hung to be appreciated like a painting on the wall. Sad to say, they are not included in the list for me to cast my preference. Nevertheless, i like seeing the Beolab 5000 on my wall even if it is not playing. :)
