    Beovox S45, 4-8ohms?

On the back of my Beovox S45s, it says impedence is 4-8ohms. Given the warnings I've heard about speaker impedences and amplifiers, why don't we see a more precise figure?

    Re: Beovox S45, 4-8ohms?

    - Because of the way the speakers are constructed. The resulting impedance of the drivers and filters varies with the frequency (and theoretically also amplitude) so it's impossible to give a firm value without listing a lot of other parameters.
    - Because in most cases it's not needed, even if using two pairs in parallel. Most amplifiers will gladly handle 2 Ohms, at least many of B&O's will.
